Tell us about yourself.: I am a young professionals in the International Development Field. I have a passion for humanitarian assistance and development work. I have worked in the sector for a substantial amount of time most recently focusing on grants management as an Assistant Program Officer/Program Officer.
I love all things International Relations, I am a seeker of knowledge, growth and wisdom. My faith is very important to me and I always let my light shine wherever I go.
Share your professional journey so far and what inspired you to choose your current career path?: I am a young professionals in the International Development Field. I have a passion for humanitarian assistance and development work. I have worked in the sector for a substantial amount of time most recently focusing on grants management, stakeholder engagement, and donor relations as an Assistant Program Officer/Program Officer.
I love all things International Relations, and I am a huge believer in the UN SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) 2030. From global education, to health, to clean water, to poverty and hunger alleviation, all are worth the world paying attention to. I just want to do a difference with the work I do.
Tell us about a recent project or accomplishment you're proud of. How did it make an impact on your field or community?: YKP Connect Professional Networking Mixer that I collaborated in coordination with a team of talented young professionals was gold. I take pride in seeing the outcome we were able to create by facilitating a growth and networking environment for young professionals.
What is a key lesson you've learned in your career, and how has it influenced your approach to work and your future goals?: Do not be afraid to ask for help, and do not withhold help from whoever needs it. Give people grace to learn and grow. They will remember that.
What advice would you offer young professionals who want to make a meaningful impact in their industry?: Be inquisitive, and do not be afraid to speak out your ideas, even when you are new or the youngest, or the "least qualified" . There's always worthwhile knowlesge you can transfer to others. Above all, be teachable , not proud.
